This is a low crown height, "beehive" styled hat. There are a few extant examples and can also be seen worn by both soldiers and civilians alike in many
period images. A few options are available to customize the hat to
your liking. We can
make them in either a wool or fur felt with several colors availible.
Fur is a bit more expensive but makes a finer hat. You can also choose
to have them
lined in silk or cotton.
*Measure the circumference of your head using a soft
tailor’s tape measure. Take the measurement starting about a thumb width above
the eyebrows running above the ears and around the head, essentially where you
want to wear the cap. Have someone else take the measurement for you if
possible.
