This
cap is copied directly from an M&G labeled original. It differs from the
traditional M&G caps in that this particular one had a squared brim and a
free sliding chin strap buckle. While it is unknown if the current chinstrap
was a wartime replacement or variant, we have kept true to the original as it
now sits.
As with all of our forage
caps it is made with lightweight wool, hand dyed with real indigo. It has an
enameled bill and soft glazed chinstrap. You have choice of a crosshatched or
plain sweatband and a black or brown polished silesia lining
Measure
the circumference of your head in inches using a soft tailor’s tape measure.
Begin on the forehead about a thumb width above the eyebrows. Follow around the
side above the ears and back to the front. It should be along the line where
you want the cap to lay. Please double check your measurement before ordering.
