Description

Not all garments worn by the Confederate Soldier were military issue. The clothes worn by Burton Marchbanks of the 30th Texas Cavalry are a great example of that. We are offering a reproduction of the paletot worn during part of his service. It is made from a plain-woven jean cloth. The skirt is cut with the body creating a clean front like the original. It’s lining is replicated as exacting as possible to show the piecing and lack of symmetry in places. While we do offer three construction methods, the original is all hand-sewn. Please take that into account when selecting your option.

Here are descriptions of the options available to you. If you have any questions, please contact us and we will be glad to assist.

Construction - All hand-sewn. Hidden seams machine sewn, exposed stitching by hand. Mostly machine with some hand finishing

Measurements - Please triple check your measurement’s before entering them. For assistance, please check out “Guide to measuring” under our “About our Products” section of the website.
